You ever have one of those Homer Simpson (Doh!) moments?  This one may seem obvious but it didn’t occur to me.  The Omnia is a touchscreen phone, so you can do everything just by touching different things on the screen right?.  Why would you need or have a mouse?  I’ve used that little black physical button down at the bottom of course, but only as a button.  Well, turns out it’s an optical mouse too – it responds to you brushing your finger past it in different directions.  Where it really comes in handy is when you have multiple email accounts setup on your phone, or just want to switch between email, SMS (text messages), and MMS.  Open up your email, and try brushing your finger past the button/mouse from left to right or right to left.  Then do it again to cycle through the various messaging options…

I guess this is what I get for not reading the whole manual when I first bought the phone :)

Please leave comments with cool things you use the mouse for; I’m sure there are other things you can do with it that I haven’t discovered yet!
